Jun 2026 review:
Food generally is ok, but staff need to improve on communication with customer.

I wanted to order the 1/2 mien 1/2 rice set but the staff said like that I cannot use the Grab voucher. I thought for awhile and said never mind, I will still order the set cause I wanted the vegetables side dish. (So I know I cannot use Grab voucher). Then the staff ask want to top up $5 add-on, so I got puzzled. I thought cannot top up since I am already ordering a set but since the staff asked, means can add-on, so I added.

End up the staff took my order as ala-carte (without the vegetables side dish) and add-on $5 set. I did not get to eat my vegetables and my payment mode got screwed up cause of miscommunication by your staff. Confusing and disappointed.

Noodles taste is ok. Rice with mapo tofu is also nice. Overall, food is ok.

Management needs to ensure staff are fully trained on Grab voucher rules. Due to a poor explanation and a misunderstanding by the staff, I couldn't use the voucher I bought and ended up spending unnecessarily. Disappointing experience.

We had two plant-based mapo tofu, one with onsen egg and one with plant-based cutlet.

Portion sizes are good. The mapo sauce was very tasty and there was a very good sauce to rice ratio. The egg was nice but be warned that some may consider it under-done (the whites is very runny). The plant-based cutlet was crispy but the centre was much softer than expected so not much "bite".

Spiciness is quite subjective. We had a 1 heat which was tasty and a 2 heat which was borderline too spicy for me (and I can usually take decent spiciness) so I would skip the cutlet and get extra rice next time to tone the 2 down a little bit while still being sauce enough.

The real star was the soy puffs which were spicy, savoury and crunchy without being oily. Superb!

Add a couple of calamansi juices (okay, a bit like a bland orange juice) and the total came to sgd60. Not crazy expensive but not cheap eats either.

Atmosphere is fine without being special - a step up from a food court but not fine dining. You order and pay via your phone (QR code) so there's not really much service interaction.

My fav mapo tofu place! Mapo tofu is moderately spicy, very savoury bean paste & minced pork mixture.
I always order the mapo tofu don + crispy duck karaage add on, but I recently found out that it’s not in the menu anymore 😭😭
Please bring it back ☹️

Found this spot after a bit of searching. I ordered the signature set meal, and the mapo tofu was genuinely the star of the show – really tasty and well-made. The noodles and sides were decent as well.
While the food was good, I felt it was a bit overpriced for the portion size and simplicity of the dishes. It was an okay meal overall, but the price makes me hesitate to come back.

we walk in on a Sunday afternoon.

ordered the sets.
signature sets, comes with 1/2 & 1/2 of both mapo tofu rice and noodles., comes with vegetables, soup, and calamansi juice.
spice level: 2
I personally prefer this.

the other set,
it's straight on 1 portion of mapo tofu on rice, vegetables, and calamansi juice.
it's tolerable as I'm used to spicy food. For the first timer, please don't try it.
spice level: 3

the gyoza with spice chilli was exceptionally as well.

portions are good for sharing.

service was excellent and fast.

Okay.. this can be addicting. Mapo tofu was very tasty and perfect with japanese rice to balance the spice and flavours (and tone down the salt). The Dandan mian was likewise a comforting bowl of umami richness despite the broth being on the watery side. The big surprise was the century egg and tofu. So simple yet so delightful with a play of sweet, salty and mala. Im glad I ordered the set.
